Oct 7 Commemoration

October 6 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Oct 7 Commemoration
Sun, Oct 6 • 4:30-6:00PM

This October 7 marks one year since the largest attack on the Jewish community in over 2 generations, murdering more than 1,200 Israelis, kidnapping more than 250 others, and drastically changing our world. Join together for a program commemorating the 1-year mark of the horrific October 7 attacks. Engage your headheart, and hands as we come together in songprayer, and purpose.

This event is appropriate for adults and mature children ages 8 and older. You are invited to sign up for free childcare here. The deadline to sign up for free childcare is Wed, Oct 2.

We will begin the evening together by setting the somber tone with music. As we enter our secred space, intended for mourning and commemoration, we will be singing Niggun Tishrei.

Throughout the program you’ll have the opportunity to connect with your head, heart, and hands. We will be lighting 1,200 yahrtzeit candles marking each soul lost on that horrific day and we invite you to take time to light your own yahrtzeit candle. We’ll conclude our program with prayers of mourning but also prayers of hope, praying for peace and praying for the return of those still being held hostage.
