Over the High Holidays members of our community made orange chains bearing the names of victims of mass shootings from this year. All are invited to gather as we recite memorial prayers, hang these chains from the tree by the parking lot entrance, and remember those whose lives have been uprooted by gun violence. The orange chains will serve as a sign for all who pass by that we at Beth El honor the victims’ memories and vow to fight to end gun violence.
