Join us in honoring and remembering the victims of the Holocaust at our upcoming Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance Service.

  • Guest Speaker: Dr. Tamara Freeman | Holocaust Musicologist
  • The Sister Rose Thering Education Award Recipient: Cantor Perry Fine

As we come together as a community, we will pay tribute to those who suffered and lost their lives during one of the darkest chapters in human history. Our remembrance service will feature prayers and reflections from leaders of different faith communities, reminding us of the importance of standing up against hate and bigotry. We are honored to welcome our special guest Dr. Tamara Freeman for a powerful tribute to Music of the Holocaust.

The event is open to everyone! Let us unite in grief and hope, and recommit to creating a better world for all.

Special Guest: Dr. Tamara Freeman

Tamara Reps Freeman D.M.A. is the musicologist of the Association of Holocaust
Organizations. She is an adjunct professor of Holocaust music, culture and education
at Yeshiva University, Cali School of Music Montclair State University and Saint
Elizabeth University. Her dissertation is our country’s sole interdisciplinary Holocaust
music education curriculum for grades Kindergarten through high school. Dr. Freeman,
a concert violist, performs lecture recitals of music composed in WWII ghettos and
concentration camps on her 1935 Joseph Bausch viola which was rescued from Berlin
